Our services are customarily tailored to the needs of our clients and the nature of each search. These services are provided on both a contingency and retained basis. Contingency or retainer, we prefer providing services on an exclusive basis.

Exclusivity allows us the ability to present the client company to the community in the most impressive way, selectively; and to monitor the candidate group, presenting a wide variety of backgrounds and personalities. Exclusivity also ensures our clients that their search is our top priority.


Berger and Leff is dedicated to providing expert, confidential, expedient services; exactly what we would expect if we were in your place. We operate with the underlying conviction that our success is predicated upon the satisfaction of both our clients and our candidates.


We personally meet all new clients to discuss their search in detail. When needed, we assist with the formulation of the position, as with a start-up department, and job description. We recommend the best way to present the opportunity to the appropriate candidates. We discuss the title, salary, job duties, promotional opportunities, company culture and desired background of the candidates. We verify that the position is within the appropriate market range in order to attract the best technical talent. At the end of the meeting, depending on the individual search, we recommend to our clients doing the search on either a retained or contingency basis.


We begin the search process by doing extensive research along with the assistance of our database to identify the most qualified candidates for the position. We contact the candidates directly and present the opportunity to them, furnishing the details of the position, the department and why we feel the position may be a good move for them.


We personally conduct face to face interviews and reference check all interested candidates before presenting them to our clients.


After our clients have interviewed the candidates we discuss the results and help in the selection process. In most cases, unless the client prefers, we extend the offers and do all the salary negotiations. Once an offer is accepted, we provide resignation and counter offer counseling to the candidate and stay in close touch until they begin the new position. We do both client and candidate follow up one month from the start date and keep in touch during the course of their careers. We consider all our relationships long term.
